Manual tools
For small volumes: the strap is tensioned with the tool and fixed with metal seals.
Strapping
Tools and machines for PET strapping, from manual and battery-powered tools to automatic machines on the line. We help you choose the strap and the right equipment.
Guide
PET (polyester) strap is a strapping material for heavy parcels and pallets, with medium and high loads. It stretches little under constant tension, so it keeps the load tight over time, and it resists humidity and outdoor exposure well.
Compared with PP strap, PET holds tension better on pallets that settle in transport. Compared with steel strap it is lighter, does not rust and has no sharp edges when removed, and in many applications it can replace steel. It is recyclable.
Usual widths are 9 to 19 mm and thicknesses around 0.5–1.0 mm. Width and thickness depend on the weight and shape of the load and must match the tool or strapping machine.
Equipment
For small volumes: the strap is tensioned with the tool and fixed with metal seals.
Electric tensioning and sealing, cordless, for heavy pallets and parcels in the warehouse or on the line.
For high pace, where compressed air is available.
Automatic strapping on the production line, at constant pace, on parcels and pallets.

FAQ
For lighter parcels narrow straps (9–13 mm) are used; for heavy pallets, 16–19 mm. The strap must match the tool or machine: check the width range in the specifications.
PP is cheaper and suits light parcels; PET holds tension better and carries heavier loads, so it is the choice for pallets and heavy products.
Steel remains for extreme loads and sharp edges. PET replaces steel in many applications, with safer handling and no rust.
It depends on volume: manual for few straps, battery-powered for daily warehouse use, pneumatic for high pace, automatic machine on the line.
